Biography[]
Advanced Warfare[]
Call Of Duty Advanced Warfare was truly the game where Bance became a household name within European eSports. Going into the game he was an unknown entity however impressed at his first LAN event at Insomnia 53 despite a fairly lowly placing. From this he was given the opportunity to join Team XENEX along with a number of upcoming players in the European scene. He attended the first Am 2 Pro 1 in February 2015 however only placed 6th which was low for the standards that they had set going into the event. Bance continued to grow as a player throughout the year. He went on to team with RusH (Kelvin Bosman), LXT and Urban on both Team Orbit UK and Barrage eSports whereby they put in top performances at ESWC 2015 beating the mighty OpTic Gaming 3-2 and almost knocking out recent winners of Call Of Duty Championship Denial eSports. Bance went on to join Exertus eSports whereby they picked up a number of top LAN placements closing out Advanced Warfare. Bance won his first ever LAN event picking up for Barrage eSports at Insomnia 55 where they didn't drop a single map.
Black Ops III[]
Bance and his teammates were picked up by newly rebranded Splyce at the beginning of December 2015 and the team was able to qualify for the 2016 EU CWL Stage 1 Regular Season at the 2016 EU CWL Pro Division Qualifying Invitational Tournament. This put his team in the first official European pro league and allowed him to play full time. Splyce would finish top three in many events over the year, but was unable to take first place. After a few roster changes, they finally were able to win Gfinity Summer Masters 2016. This event win propelled Splyce to a historic second place performance at the 2016 Call of Duty World League Championship in September.
Infinite Warfare[]
Bance remained with Splyce going into Infinite Warfare, with Jurd and MadCat replacing Rated and Joee on the team, with Zer0 later replacing Joshh on the team. With placings of 5-6th at CWL Paris Open and 4th at CWL Dallas, Splyce began to prove themselves as a top worldwide team, and Bance was commonly cited by pros and fans alike as a standout performer. Splyce held the top European seed heading in to the inaugural Call of Duty Global Pro League, and were placed in a group with American squads Team EnVyUs and Cloud9, and Australian team, Mindfreak. In a very tight top-of-the-table clash, EnVyUs defeated Splyce to take top seed of their Group. Following the finale of the group, Bance was voted as an All-Star player by fans and casters alike.
Modern Warfare[]
Toronto Ultra announced their initial ten man roster with Bance as substitute on January 21, 2020.
The following week in the start of the COD League, in Call of Duty League 2020 - Week 2 in London, Bance was switched onto the starting roster for spaniard MettalZ. The team did not fair any better as they were beaten handily by London Royal Ravens and Paris Legion, knocked out in last place. The team stuck with the same roster for Week 3 and earned the same result - losing both matches and getting eliminated by Paris Legion for a second straight last place finish. Leading up to Week 5, the Ultra added MettalZ back into the starting lineup, replacing Loony. For the first time since Launch Weekend, the team won a series by defeating Florida. After that series, however, the went on to lose versus Dallas Empire and also their rematch against Florida Mutineers. The new lineup continued to improve by advancing out of the group stage for the first time after defeating New York Subliners and Minnesota RØKKR. They lost to OpTic Gaming Los Angeles in the semifinal but seemed to have finally established a consistent starting roster to improve with.
This established roster would immediately be thrown back into discord as in the week leading up to Week 9, CleanX was rumored to have been added to the starting roster to replace Classic not due to in game performances, but because Classic left Toronto to visit a sick relative. The team did not scrim while he was gone. He returned in time for the weekend and took his spot back. The went on to lose 3-1 to LA Guerrillas and 3-0 to the Huntsmen. To make things more confusing, CleanX officially joined the starting roster just days after the event and a day before Week 10. This would mark the first time in CDL history that a team fielded a roster with players from five different countries. After narrowly losing to Atlanta FaZe, the Ultra beat up on OpTic Gaming 3-0 in one of the most dominant series of the season including a 250-49 Hackney Yard hardpoint win. New York Subliners would knock them out in the next round. Classic replaced MettalZ in Week 11 as the revolving door of MarkyB roster changes continued. They beat Atlanta FaZe 3-2 to get out of the group stage but then lost to New York Subliners in the semifinals. In the final week of the season, Ultra's Home Series, they took the event by storm and beat the top three teams attending the event, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta, to win the event in an incredible grand final. They became the third team to win their own home series, joining Atlanta FaZe and New York Subliners. The 50 CDL points earned from winning boosted the Ultra all the way up into the winners bracket for Champs at 7th place with 120 CDL Points.
Toronto started in Winners Round 1 at the Call of Duty League Championship 2020. They defeated London Royal Ravens 3-1 and Florida Mutineers 3-1 before losing to Dallas Empire in Winners Round 3. In a rematch in Losers Round 4, Toronto lost to London 1-3. They finished Top 6 in Champs.
Cold War[]
Bance stay for second year on Toronto Ultra with Methodz, Cammy, and CleanX as the four remaining players going into the new 4v4 league.
Stage 1 did not go as planned for Toronto as they only won one of their five group stage matches. Starting in Losers Round 1, the Ultra defeated London 3-2 and Minnesota 3-2 before losing to Los Angeles Thieves in Losers Round 3 0-3.
On March 10th, Toronto surprised many fans as they replaced Main AR Methodz with Insight. A lackluster Stage 2 saw TOR finish with a 2-3 record, managing a Winners Round 1 seed due to a three-way tiebreaker with London Royal Ravens and Los Angeles Guerrillas. A 3-1 win over OpTic Chicago and 1-3 loss to Atlanta FaZe dropped the Ultra into Losers Round 4. Toronto started an incredible sub-run there taking down a red-hot LA Thieves, ice-cold Minnesota RØKKR, and then Dallas Empire in the Losers Final to find themselves a rematch against Atlanta FaZe in the Grand Finals. A back and forth best of nine series ended in favor of the Ultra 5-3 behind a superstar performance by Bance, win the MVP of the Stage 2. This victory was Toronto's second ever major championship, second major win for an european full roster and Bance.
Perfection was the theme for the defending champs in Stage 3 as they lost just one map across the group stage - finishing with a 15-1 map record. With a first round bye, Toronto played Atlanta FaZe in Winners Round 2. This rematch went the other way as Toronto lost 2-3. They began another losers run with wins against LA Thieves and OpTic Chicago but fell once again to Atlanta in the Losers Finals to go out in third place.
