Will "BigTymeR" Johnson is a retired Call of Duty player. He retired from competing on January 5th, 2014.[1] His most notable teams were Xtravagant and OpTic Gaming.
Biography[]
BigTymer began his Call of Duty competitive career during the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare days; making his name known on Xtravagant; better known as "IXI" for winning the MLG National Championship 2009. Remaining with Xtravagent until Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 rolled around, BigTymeR with his teammate Rambo, made a decision to change teams and heading over to OpTic Gaming.
Teaming up with ProoFy, MerK and Rambo, BigTymeR made a few plays under the OpTic Gaming name during Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops. However, even after winning $400,000 under the OpTic Gaming name at Call of Duty XP, BigTymeR decided that he needed a change soon into Modern Warfare 3. So, along with Rambo, Scump and MerK; the squad made a short switch to the apeX.NA name during Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Leaving apeX.NA only after a few events, BigTymeR made his way back home to OpTic Gaming, only to team up with NaDeSHoT, Scump and MerK. Since his move back to OpTic Gaming, BigTymeR has remained under the OpTic Gaming name. Late in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season, OpTic Gaming released their long time captain and teammate MerK, only to have BigTymeR take over as their newest captain for OpTic Gaming's 2014 season. However, big things changed for OpTic Gaming at the beginning of 2014; BigTymeR announced that following his attendance at UMG Philadelphia 2014, he would be retiring from competitive Call of Duty to take over as OpTic Gaming's coach for the remainder of the 2014 season but soon after Major League Gaming announced that coaches were no longer allowed in team booths at events.
