Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) is a North American esports organization founded in April 2010.

History[]

Black Ops 3[]

Counter Logic Gaming or CLG was created in 2010 when League of Legends first became an eSport. They expanded into Call of Duty in 2015 with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and the Call of Duty World League. After Denial eSports Required a Roster of Methodz, Blfire, CMPLX, and FeLo, The roster would be Put up for sale. CLG Aquired it On December 2. The team would be invited to the 2016 CWL NA Pro Division Qualifying Invitational Tournament to try and qualify for the 2016 COD World League NA Pro Division Stage 1. The team would be in Group C along side teams Team EnVyUs, Team Kaliber, and Dream Team. The team would not have a good first round as they fell to Team EnVyUs 0-3 and go up against Dream Team in the losers bracket. They would have a slow start, starting out the series 1-2, but they would win the next two games and win the series 3-2 and move on to the second decider match to qualify. The team would go up against Team Kaliber, and could not get a strong offense going in any game and the team would lose 1-3 and fail to qualify.

The team would then have one more opportunity to qualify for 2016 COD World League NA Pro Division Stage 1 in the 2016 CWL NA Pro Division Online Qualifying Tournament where they would start out the tournament strong not losing a map to any team. the team would work its way though more amateur teams as they only dropped 1 map entering the qualifying match against Anticity's team. The team would not have a problem in any map and won the series 3-0 and qualified for the 2016 COD World League NA Pro Division Stage 1.

CLG's time at the top level of competitive Call of Duty wouldn't last long though. After finishing the 2016 COD World League NA Pro Division Stage 1 in 12th Place with a 6-16(37-50) record, they were sent to 2016 NA CWL Stage 1 Relegation. At relegation they faced challenger team Cloud9. CLG was able to win map 1 but wouldn't win another as they were defeated 4-1. The team would be forced back into the Challenger Division for a chance to get back into the next stage. On May 12, ACHES, Remy, and Blfire joined the team to play alongside Methodz. The new roster disbanded within a week after the original announcement.
