Biography[]

Beginnings[]

Jevon "Goonjar" Gooljar first started playing S&D variant GBs during Call of Duty: Black Ops. After the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Goonjar and his friends would begin to attend LAN events under the name of Donut Shop. His first major event with the team would be in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 at the MLG Winter Championship, where the team would finish in the top 10. However, Goonjar's breakout event would be the first UGC Niagara, where his team would finish 2nd overall, losing in the final to an Apex lineup of Rambo, MerK, ProoFy, and Revan. After this event, Goonjar and his talents began to draw notice from larger organizations. He would play at the MLG Spring Championship under vVv Gaming, and finish with a respectable top 8 placing.

The Next Level[]

Goonjar would get his big break early in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 season from a newly formed Team Kaliber, with the roster consisting of himself, Sharp, Neslo, and Theory. The team would make a strong break out into the competitive scene, finishing 2nd in their first event at UMG Atlanta 2013. Team Kaliber would continue to make noise during the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season, attending MLG PAX Prime Invitational 2013, Gfinity 2, UMG Dallas 2013, and finishing 3rd, 3rd, and 4th respectively.

The Next Generation[]

Team Kaliber would continue to fall just short. They would finish 2nd at the first LAN event for Call of Duty: Ghosts, the MLG Fall Championship. After coming up just short against powerhouse Complexity once again, Goonjar would leave Team Kaliber to join his dream team Team EnVy to take the spot of Karma, who left to join Complexity. Goonjar would stay with Envy for just one event, UMG Philadelphia, where they would place a disappointing 10th. Goonjar would return to Team Kaliber for the U.S. Regionals and the Call Of Duty Championship 2014. The Roster, which now consisted of Goonjar, Sharp, Theory, and Formal, would place Top 16 at Champs, the lowest placing in the team's short history. Afterwards, FormaL would leave the team and be replaced by Apathy. Using Madcat as a fill-in, the team would place 7th at UGC Niagara 2014. Goonjar and friends would then receive an invite to the first MLG X Games Invitational. Here, Team Kaliber would finally break their curse and defeat Evil Geniuses, only to fall 1 map short to OpTic Gaming in the Grand Final. By placing 2nd, Goonjar and Team Kaliber would become the first Call of Duty silver medalists.

Trivia[]

  • During Black Ops 2, Goonjar is was commonly referred to as "PingJar" because of his online connection.
