The Faction was established in November 2014 by Ken "Chaobo" Serra for the goal of creating an eSports organization that emphasizes player development. Chaobo created The Faction NA in early November, then shortly after created The Faction AU after hearing about the dissolve of Curse AU and Louqa's immediate free agency. Vrnzn was released from The Faction AU on February 2, 2015, and replaced with Swifty the same day.
